About

Like many people, I have an outside persona I show others. I also have an inner being. The Author section displays the outer me as a resume would present the characteristics of an applicant. My accomplishments are written there. The Site section describes my inner self, the self that is rarely shown to others. My inner self is the bruised and broken person who is exposing her journey, her progress in healing her soul.

The Author

Anne is a retired elementary school teacher with multiple interests, including music, animals, travel and “cozy” mysteries.

Piano lessons began at age seven and continued to fourteen. As an adult she participated in two music ministries. She took additional lessons hoping to develop skills in composition.

Anne has been blessed to travel through the United States, mostly by tent camping or trailer camping. Her travel exploits include trips to Asia and Europe: learning all the while.

Animals (turtles, dogs, birds, a chicken, cats, fish) are another source of companionship and education.

Her Wisconsin condo feeds her dependence on nature. Its large windows open to a conservancy and creek. The village railroad tracks nearby form a highway for coyote, fox, snapper turtles, raccoons, and hundreds of birds to visit.

An interest in writing developed while teaching third grade. She dabbled in summer courses, children’s books, travel, humor, essay, and more. Her largest project until now is a memoir concerning her stymied growth and reclaiming her True Self. This blog introduces a new challenge.

Her wish for you is an ever-expanding spiritual life.

The Site

Spiritual Wisdom From a Pilgrim Mind is designed as a portrait of the changes occurring in my life. Like visiting an art gallery, some friends are drawn toward my personal development and suggest placing the pictures from my life on the web for others’ exploration. Other friends have no interest in my style of spiritual growth. My writing is not an attempt to convert them to my views. Those individuals view other sections of the museum. We meet in the food court of life and share our commonality. My acceptance of differences informs our friendship.

The use of the title “God” is meant to represent any and all higher powers such as Allah, Great Spirit, universe, Buddha, the unknown and more.
